Welcome to Transition 2009
“Today’s Strategy for Tomorrow’s Administration”
October 15, 2008
Four Points Sheraton, Washington, D.C.
Dear Public Sector IT Community,
1105 Government Information Group is proud to host “Transition 2009: Today’s Strategy for Tomorrow’s Administration,” a conference on the upcoming change of Administration and what it means for the public sector IT industry.
This one-day event will bring together senior-level government officials, key policymakers, leading figures in academia and public policy and chief executives from industry discuss the IT, business and organizational challenges brought about by a change in administration, and effective strategies and tactics for dealing with that change.
"A conference on the upcoming change of Administration and what it means for the public sector IT industry."
Every four years, the race for the Presidency brings a unique feeling of both opportunity and uncertainty to the Washington, DC area. The 2008 election is no different. Government contractors and agencies face the challenge of shaping and influencing a purchasing climate in transition when the Iraq War, rising gas prices, and the slumping housing market are straining government resources.
An effective transition for industry and government agencies will be based heavily on the planning, educating and campaigning that occur prior to inauguration and more importantly, the executing or governing that takes place after.
Conference topics will address these issues and feature speakers schooled in the art of successful transitions:
Ø How government agencies transition key leadership positions and define roles and responsibilities
Ø How to sustain program momentum during a transition
Ø What budget, program and policy planning companies should be doing now to prepare for transition
Ø How industry can reap the benefits of transition – from personnel to programs
Ø How government agencies can help prepare industry for changes in a new administration
Sincerely,
Anne Armstrong
